Alhamdulillah, another Eid-ul Adha has come and gone, and once again, we are overwhelmed with gratitude. Through the support of our generous donors, Tabung Amanah Hati Nusantara (TAHN) successfully carried out Qurban distributions in Syria and Myanmar (Rakhine State).
It may seem like a simple act—distributing fresh meat to those in need—but for the families who received it, it meant so much more. It was a reminder that they are not forgotten, that despite their struggles, there are people across the world who care for them.
A Gift of Hope in Hama
For the second year, TAHN partnered with Youth for Syria to ensure that your Qurban contributions reached those suffering in Hama, Syria.
At this time, the Syrian conflict was in its fourth year, and millions of families had been displaced, many forced to flee their homes with nothing. Cities like Hama, once full of life, had become places of uncertainty and hardship. But despite the devastation, the spirit of Eid was kept alive through your generosity.
With every portion of Qurban meat distributed, a child had a warm meal. A mother had one less worry for the day. Families, despite the turmoil, could gather and share a meal, feeling a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos.
Through your contributions, we were able to bring smiles to the children of Syria. In times of war, a small act of kindness can be a beacon of hope—and this Qurban distribution was exactly that.

Reaching the Rohingya Once Again
After the success of 2014’s Rohingya Qurban programme, we knew we had to do more in 2015. Once again, TAHN partnered with Rohingya Society Malaysia to extend our reach further and ensure that the Rohingya community in Myanmar (Rakhine State) could celebrate Eid with dignity.
For the Rohingya, Qurban is more than just tradition—it is often their only chance in the year to have a proper meal. Living in severe hardship, denied basic rights, and facing discrimination, many Rohingya families struggle to put food on the table.
But this Eid, thanks to your generosity, families in Rakhine State were able to receive fresh meat, share in the blessings of the occasion, and experience the joy of Eid-ul Adha.
When we looked into the eyes of the children, we saw relief, gratitude, and hope. This was more than just food—it was a reminder that they are loved.
