Alhamdulillah, another Eid-ul Adha has passed, and once again, the kindness of our donors has made a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Qurban 2016 was a journey of hope, resilience, and generosity as Tabung Amanah Hati Nusantara (TAHN) successfully carried out Qurban distributions for the Rohingya in Myanmar and the displaced people of Syria.
This year, thanks to your unwavering support, we provided fresh Qurban meat to families who rarely get the chance to enjoy a proper meal. The impact of this initiative goes beyond food—it is a reminder that they are not forgotten.

A Meal of Dignity for the Rohingya
The Rohingya remain one of the most persecuted communities in the world. Stripped of their citizenship in Myanmar, they have been denied basic rights, education, and healthcare, leaving them with little hope for the future. In Rakhine State (Arakan), where many Rohingya still live in desperate conditions, even securing a daily meal is a struggle.
For most Rohingya families, Eid-ul Adha is the only time of the year they get to have a full meal. The generosity of our donors, who contributed RM250 per portion of cow, allowed us to distribute fresh meat to families who had not eaten properly in months.
Through our collaboration with Rohingya Society Malaysia, we ensured that the Qurban was performed with care and reached the most vulnerable members of the community. The smiles on the children’s faces, the relief in the eyes of the parents—this was more than just food. It was dignity, it was hope, it was love.

A Gift of Joy for the Children of Syria
By the end of 2015, over 6.6 million Syrians had been internally displaced, caught in a war with no end in sight. Families who once had homes, schools, and a sense of security were now living in makeshift camps, struggling to survive. But the greatest victims of this war are the children—innocent souls who have been robbed of a normal childhood.
This year, through the generosity of our donors and in partnership with Youth for Syria, we were able to bring a small moment of happiness to these children. For RM500 per portion of cow, we ensured that hundreds of families had the chance to celebrate Eid with a proper meal.
More than just sustenance, this Qurban distribution was a message to them—we see you, we care, and we will not forget you. The warmth of this simple act of giving brought smiles to faces that had long been filled with worry.
A Heartfelt Thank You
As we reflect on Qurban 2016, we are humbled. TAHN is not a large organization, but with your support, we have done something extraordinary.
To our donors—your kindness has reached places where hope is scarce.
To our partners on the ground—Rohingya Society Malaysia and Youth for Syria—thank you for making this possible.
To the Rohingya and Syrian families—you are in our hearts and prayers, always.
May Allah bless everyone who contributed, and may we continue to come together to serve those in need. Ameen.
